Ricarda Hommann
B.A.
Ricarda Hommann is a curator and cultural manager based in Venice, Italy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Management from Zeppelin University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Economics and Management of Arts at Ca’ Foscari University, Italy.
With curatorial experience in institutions in Berlin, Colombo and Seoul, she was part of the team organizing the Places in the In-Between exhibition in Tunis in April 2025, as part of the Tawasol project. Ricarda Hommann has previously worked with the Goethe-Institut, the Institute of Museum Research, the Leadership Excellence Institute and the Ca’ Foscari Short Film Festival. She will join the organisational team for the 2026 edition of Colomboscope – a contemporary art festival.
Her research interests lie in transcultural knowledge exchange, postcolonial cultural production, and contemporary art’s role in shaping public discourse. Her thesis, The Eyes on the Canvas, the Back to History: The Subversion of the Colonial Gaze in Contemporary Art with the Example of Kent Monkman, explores these themes in great detail.
