Chiara Keßel is currently pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Sociology, Politics & Economics at Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen where she focuses on cultural policy, sociological theory, political communication, and international relations. She is particularly interested in questions of human rights, peacebuilding, global justice, and the role of arts, culture and civil society in shaping sustainable futures. As a student assistant at the Chair of Cultural Policy, she supports research on transnational cultural production and the role of the arts in processes of social transformation.
As a Fellow of the Tawasol Network Chiara Keßel conducted interviews and filmed everyday scenes as part of her first documentary film project, working with a hybrid format that combines documentary storytelling and alternative research formats of knowledge exchange.
In the past she was involved in the project management of several events, exhibitions and workshops, such as the planning and conceptualisation of the Seekult Festival of music, arts and culture, and the organisation of theatre workshops for the Drama Group at her University.
