Julia Hartmann
Julia Hartmann is a German cultural manager with a focus on contemporary art, cultural policy and transdisciplinary communication. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Culture and Management with a minor in Corporate Management and Economics at Zeppelin University (Germany). Her curatorial and organizational experience spans institutions in Germany, the United States and Mexico. She has worked at The Invisible Dog Art Center in New York and the Federal Association of German Galleries and Art Dealers in Berlin, where she contributed to projects at the interface of cultural funding, policy and market strategy.
As communication lead for the Transcultural Leadership Summit 2022 – The Futures of Transcultural Leadership at Zeppelin University, she brought together voices from politics, the arts and civil society around the future of global cooperation.
As Tawasol fellow, Julia Hartmann co-curated the international exhibition Places in the In-Between and worked on transcultural projects in Lebanon, Egypt and Tunisia. Her work focuses on the role of art in public institutions, identity politics and the intersection of aesthetics, administration and transcultural exchange.
