Camilla von Bischoffshausen
Camilla von Bischoffshausen is currently in her fifth semester studying Culture, Communication & Management at Zeppelin University, where she also gains practical experience through her work with two academic chairs. At Zeppelin University, she works at the Chair of Media Theory as a tutor for the two-semester seminar FilmTheoriePraxis. In this course, students explore both theoretical and practical aspects of filmmaking and develop their own documentary films.
Since September 2024, she has been working as a student assistant at the Chair of Cultural and Media Policy Studies, which initiated the Tawasol network. In this role, she supports the organization of workshops and residencies for the network. Through this work, she has developed a good understanding of transnational cultural production and the dynamics of international collaboration.
As part of the team, Camilla von Bischoffshausen participated in the Tawasol residency in Cairo (September 2024) and the Symposium in Tunis (April 2025), where she improved her knowledge of the cultural landscape in the WANA region (West Asia and North Africa). Working alongside the fellowship group was a very beautiful experience for her: the perspectives across the cultural sector and the wide range of national backgrounds led to great collaboration and she considers the created network as deeply inspiring.
Apart from Tawasol, her main interests lie in the arts and culture sector, nonprofit initiatives, social work, and project management. In the past she was involved in several cultural festivals and exhibitions, mostly as part of the curatorial team or in the field of communication and marketing. She has always enjoyed working in teams with diverse cultural backgrounds, that’s why she expanded her expertise through a volunteer service in a social center for children’s rights in the Republic of Kosovo for 12 months.
